Description
Parque de Serralves is a large contemporary cultural park located in Porto, in northern Portugal. It forms part of the Serralves Foundation complex and is one of the most important cultural and green spaces in the city, combining art, nature, and architecture.
The park spans landscaped gardens, woodlands, and open lawns designed in a blend of formal and natural styles. It surrounds the Serralves Villa and the adjacent contemporary art museum, featuring walking paths, sculptures, lakes, and carefully curated plant collections. Designed with influences from Art Deco and modern landscape architecture, the grounds are structured to create a seamless transition between built and natural environments.
Today, Parque de Serralves is a major cultural destination, hosting exhibitions, outdoor installations, and international art events. It is also a peaceful urban park where visitors can walk, relax, and experience contemporary art in an open-air setting, making it one of Porto’s most significant cultural and recreational spaces.
