Spanning over 450,000 m² in total, with more than 32,000 m² dedicated to indoor fun, Rulantica offers 31 slides and attractions across 14 themed zones inspired by Nordic mythology. Highlights include thrilling slides in Vinterhal, family-friendly play areas at Snorri Strand, and the massive outdoor Svalgurok play structure. For relaxation, the recently opened Svømmepøl features the largest year-round outdoor pool in the park, complete with a swim-up bar, geysers, loungers, and a stunning volcanic backdrop.
Traveling to Rulantica from Basel is convenient and straightforward. By car, the journey takes just under an hour (approximately 95 km), mainly via the A5 motorway, with parking and electric vehicle charging stations available on-site. Public transport is also a smooth option: take a train from Basel SBB to Ringsheim/Europa-Park station (around 1 hour 20 minutes), then hop on a frequent shuttle bus that runs directly to the entrance of Rulantica. This makes it ideal for both day trips and weekend getaways from Switzerland.
Rulantica is open year-round, generally from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with special early access for hotel guests and some ticket holders. Entry prices vary depending on the season and ticket type, but standard day passes typically start at around €36.50. Additional options include twilight and evening tickets, access to premium relaxation areas like Hyggedal, and combination tickets with Europa-Park. The park is widely recognized as one of Europe’s best water parks, praised for its creative design, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
