Torre dos Clérigos is a baroque bell tower located in the historic centre of Porto, in northern Portugal. Built in the 18th century and designed by Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, it is one of the most recognisable landmarks in the city and was originally constructed as part of the Clérigos Church complex.

The tower rises to a height of about 75 metres and features an elegant granite façade with ornate detailing typical of Baroque architecture. Visitors can climb its narrow spiral staircase of over 200 steps to reach the top, where panoramic views stretch across Porto’s rooftops, the Douro River, and surrounding neighbourhoods. Its prominent position makes it visible from many parts of the city, serving as a natural reference point in the skyline.

Today, Torre dos Clérigos is both a historic monument and a major tourist attraction. It forms part of the larger Clérigos complex, which includes the adjacent church and museum, and remains one of Porto’s most visited sites for its architecture, history, and sweeping city views.
