Description
Waterworld Aqua Park is a massive indoor waterpark located in Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent, and is the largest facility of its kind in the UK. Though often associated with the Birmingham area due to its regional popularity, it’s about an hour’s drive north and well worth the journey. The park features more than 30 rides and attractions including high-thrill slides like Thunderbolt—the UK’s first trap-door drop slide—as well as the Cyclone funnel, wave pool, lazy river rapids, summer outdoor pools, and interactive zones for toddlers and young children.
Pricing is generally based on height, with those over 1.1 meters paying around £13.49 and those under paying approximately £11.49. Waterworld also offers annual passes, including a Gold Pass for £149 and a Silver Pass for £99, both granting unlimited visits throughout the year with some restrictions. Occasionally, promotional deals are available through voucher platforms, providing discounted rates for families and adult-child entry combos. The park is open year-round and offers flexibility in terms of session times—though during busy periods, visits may be capped to a maximum of three hours.
Most guests spend around two to three hours at Waterworld, although quieter days may allow for longer stays. Children under eight must be supervised by an adult, with a limit of two children per adult. Infants under two require a separate ticket, typically priced at £7. On-site amenities include a café, accessible facilities, and lockers with refundable deposits. Visitors are advised to arrive early to ensure easy access to parking and to beat the crowds, especially during school holidays and weekends.
